Not going out to celebrate Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras this year? The Spirit of East Tawakoni has you covered! They will again be sponsoring a Gumbo dinner February 17, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. This is a pick-up only dinner at the Library, 255 Oak Leaf Trail, East Tawakoni, TX. Big bowls of homemade gumbo with rice, bread, and jumbo cupcakes all for $15.00. Got neighbors who can’t get out? Families that you know who could use a good meal? Buy extras and surprise them! To order your meals, text or call 903-480-8910. Need your name, phone number, and the number of dinners. You will pay at the library with cash or credit card when you pick up your meals.

There will be a Baby Jesus in one of the cupcakes. Return the Baby Jesus to the library and pick up your $50 gift card! Someone is going to win!!!
