Spirit of East Tawakoni
The Spirit of East Tawakoni is a non profit fund raising committee of the East Tawakoni Economic Development Committee. Spirit raises money through events such as bake and plant sales. The Spirit sponsors events for its citizens and friends bringing everyone together as a hometown family. Much has been accomplished by the Spirit such as providing council tables and chairs, a kitchen floor in the Civic Center, a 4x8ft awning with rails outside the Civic Center, and beautifying the city park by cleaning and painting picnic tables, awnings and playground equipment, adding park benches and helping with the 5K Race Across the Bridge.
Recently, they have sponsored a Halloween event for the kids and a Christmas parade, …..Santa is one of the main attractions.
ALL THIS IS DONE WITH DONATIONS AND FUNDRAISERS. (NO TAX DOLLARS ARE USED.)
