Due to thunderstorms moving into the area, the Spirit of East Tawakoni plant sale has been postponed for this afternoon. We will reopen at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday April 27, at Family Dollar in East Tawakoni.

The 4th annual 5K and Nautical Mile Fun Run/Walk Race Across the SSGT McNabb Bridge is May 11, 2024. We have runners and walkers signed up from across Texas. Our Rains ISD Cheerleaders will be there to cheer you on and give you your medal (or medals if you plan to do both the 5K & Nautical Mile) and your race music from one of the rescue boats is ready to play your favorite tunes. Come and walk with family, friends, or pets (leash please – only applies to pets – not family and friends), or run/walk the 5K! T-Shirts and medals for everyone.
