Wednesday, December 4 at the East Tawakoni Library located at 255 Oak Leaf Trail, volunteers will be putting up the lights for our City Tree at 10:00 a.m. If you can help, please come by the library.
Friday, December 6 at the East Tawakoni Library located at 255 Oak Leaf Trail, the annual Spirit of East Tawakoni Chili Cook-off & Tree Lighting will be underway. There is a Chili-Cook-off so if you would like to enter the contest for best Chili in East Tawakoni, grab those secret spices and bring a big batch of chili to the library at 4:00 p.m. December 6. Judging will be at 4:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to the free chili dinner starting at 5:00 p.m. – bowls of chili, frito chili pies, and chili dogs! And dessert!! The tree lighting ceremony will be at dark so stay and enjoy the lighting of our City Tree.
Saturday, December 7 the East Tawakoni Volunteer Fire Department located at 100 Littlefield in East Tawakoni is sponsoring Pancakes with Santa. This is a free breakfast and starts at 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Santa will be there to talk with all the kids and – as a special treat – he is bringing Ms. Claus!
Saturday, December 7 after the Pancakes with Santa, the Spirit of East Tawakoni annual Christmas parade will be at 10:00 a.m. at 288 Briggs Blvd., East Tawakoni. If you would like to be in the parade, be there at 9:45 a.m. for line-up! Of course, Santa and Ms. Claus will be there after their big breakfast at the Fire Station.
